    Master Director

    Anne Marteniuk

Anne joined Westcoast Harmony in 2000, at the age of 13,  mainly to share the same hobby that her mother was already enjoying.  In Anne’s own words:  “I was instantly hooked!”

Three years later, she was dancing in the front row, checking tapes, and by 2004, she was appointed Lead Section Leader. In 2005, Anne accepted the challenge of being part of Westcoast's unique director team, and she hasn't looked back since!

In 2010, Anne became the youngest person ever to attain the status of Master Director, a title created by Sweet Adelines International to honor its musical directors whose choruses score 600 points or more in Regional Competitions, shared by only an elite group of directors. Anne has also established herself as a trusted vocal coach for individuals, quartets and choruses around the pacific northwest.

Anne currently sings baritone with Frenzy quartet, the 2011 Region 13 Quartet Champions. She also sang baritone with Young Women in Harmony quartet, Stir It Up, winning a 2nd place medal at the 2006 International Rising Star Contest after only 5 months of rehearsals.

In her “other life”, Anne has a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Criminology from Simon Fraser University. She works at a law firm as a senior corporate legal assistant.
